Harris, crinkly and laser-eyed, has enough gravity to hang with Neeson. Their scenes together anchor a movie that gets away from itself at times and relies on the tired family-in-jeopardy final act.

Run All Night's saving grace is, unsurprisingly, its lead actor who remains as watchable as ever despite the material he has to work with.
75
By Alonso Duralde - TheWrap
There’s not much new in this tale of grim men staring, and then shooting, each other down, but this cast and crew know how to spin this yarn with efficacy and economy.

The movie, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, who directed Mr. Neeson in the efficient airborne thriller “Non-Stop,” has two saving graces: a tight script and terrific acting.

By Bill Goodykoontz - Arizona Republic
In Run All Night, Neeson gives us more of the same, although with Collet-Serra's assistance, it's dressed up in a more interesting package.

Run All Night is proof that quality action films don’t really need to reinvent the wheel each time out as long as they make it spin this smoothly.
63
By Carson Lund - Slant Magazine
This time around, in spotlighting Liam Neeson's fatigued charisma, Jaume Collet-Serra's formidable filmmaking chops have plateaued.
60
By Chris Hewitt (1) - Empire
With Neeson on fine form and an encouraging start, it’s a shame that this gritty crime drama feels the need to erupt into a full-blown action movie by the end.

His role in this movie showed a different side from what you see in the Taken trilogies. I really don't understand why people say it's the same performance you see in Taken. Not to mention the rest of the cast was outstanding in the movie and there were times I had to hold back tears. I consider this another successful movie for Neeson & Harris. I did notice several bloopers like the extra strong paper towels that Jimmy uses to kill Frank in the bathroom. & I truly think Common should stick to music; I didn't really enjoy his part in the movie. I would watch this movie again for sure. It;s 8 out of 10 Stars for me.
